Director - Digital Operations

Role Summary: The Digital Operations Director is responsible for the performance and operations of the web properties that support GE's online presence. The role requires strong knowledge of CI/CD technology, infrastructure, integration, automation and 24x7 application support as well as experience mentoring team members in DevOps practices. Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Ensure the performance (e.g. availability, scalability, accessibility, speed, functionality) for all the web applications is maintained within the expected SLA within our cloud and data center environments Manage problem resolution through a robust support model for rapid response to emerging issues and support of off-hours planned events (e.g. upgrades, investor events, etc.) Collaborate with the other practice team members, GE CoreTech services and external suppliers to drive efficiencies and effectiveness on the delivery and operations of our products and services Develop and execute on practices to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on all of the supported applications Report monthly during Operations Review discussions on performance metrics, quality, operational risks and issues, and adherence to compliance Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree A minimum of 10 years of overall experience in information technology delivering and managing high impact solutions Eligibility Requirements: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job Desired Characteristics: Minimum of 4+ years' experience in administering and troubleshooting, deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure (AWS) Experience with open source platforms and technologies (e.g. apache web server, Drupal, Wordpress, MySQL, PHP, Docker) Knowledge of networking and monitoring tools (e.g. DNS, New Relic) and logging solutions. Experience with frequent and incremental code testing and deployment using version control and CI/CD tools (e.g. Github, Jenkins, etc.) Demonstrated experience in project or program management Dynamic leader & strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various stakeholders Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions Experience working across multiple functions and with global resources Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities #DTR 3209878

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
