JPMorgan Chase' Receivable Operations Services enables customers to accept traditional paper-based payments from clients by capturing the information with efficient technology services and transferring it to an output file for accounts receivable updating. The main objective is to speed the collection of payments due by getting the check that'is in the mail deposited into the biller'is account as quickly as possible. A second objective is to speed the posting of payment information, allowing the customer to update their account records. This can substantially reduce costs and expedite the crediting of deposits to accounts, which provides high customer satisfaction and a rewarding service.
This is a Mail Sort position which entails the operation of high speed equipment and demands a high level of attention to detail. The Mail Sort associate will be responsible for the manual sorting of incoming mail, the operation of high speed sorting equipment and the general maintenance of the equipment on a daily basis. Specific responsibilities will include the following:
Receiving incoming mail deliveries from couriers
Operation of high speed sorting equipment
Ensuring that all equipment preventive maintenance is complete on a daily basis
Manual hand sorting of mail rejected by the high speed sorting equipment
Delivery and Tracking of sorted mail to respective departments
Inputting data into specialized imaging equipment to reduce volume of mail requiring to be hand sorted
Qualifications
Remittance Processing or Bank Operations experience preferred
Mail Services and Sorting experience preferred
Reading and comprehension of customers' instructions
Ability to complete multiple manual and automated tasks
Basic PC skills and Microsoft applications knowledge
Able to operate desktop and high speed equipment,
Attention to detail with accuracy and good eye-hand coordination is required
Meet and maintain site productivity and quality standards
Must be able to take and follow directions
Basic office equipment skills including use of calculator, photocopier, stapler, printer are preferred
Must be able to lift 15 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work evening and weekend hours - this is an afternoon shift position
